Course description

Emphasizing the link between product rendering and photography, the course will focus on transferring century-old photographic techniques into the world of 3D, teaching students the industry standards for setting up and lighting various materials and scenarios. Students will be taught by an industry professional using a combination of lectures, critiques and hands-on learning.

This course is specifically designed for students who have familiarity with a 3D modeling software and rendering but are looking for those guarded tips and tricks that produce photo-realistic product renders. Students will exit the course with a representative portfolio, showcasing their learned skills in product visualization.

This is an advanced lighting, materials and rendering course and NOT a 3D modeling course. For students interested in learning advanced techniques in 3D modeling please check out our Advanced Architectural Rendering course.
